Microbeams of plasma are leveraged in a focused energy treatment, resulting in tightening and retraction of the skin tissues through controlled skin damage.
How Plasma IQ Works
As the FDA cleared device is brought close to the skin during treatment, it ionizes nitrogen gas particles in the air to create a plasma arc that looks like a spark. The plasma arc causes sublimation of the epidermis of the skin; turning a solid into gas, resulting in immediate skin tightening and retraction in the target area.
This method of plasma sublimation is highly targeted and controlled. It does not transfer heat to the surrounding area.
The safe and effective procedure has minimal downtime. The procedure creates tiny brown carbon crusts or tiny scabs in the treated area that persist for approximately one week before dropping off.
The micro-injuries sustained during treatment promote the long-term firming, tightening, and smoothing effects that are part of the natural healing response. Collagen and elastin are produced, plumping the structure of the skin to soften and reduce loose skin, lines and wrinkles, giving patients a tighter more renewed appearance.

What Results Can I Expect From Plasma IQ?
Following your procedure, you can expect to dramatically repair and renew the effects of aging. The procedure creates a long-term tightening of the treated area, helping to restore a vibrant, natural, younger-looking appearance.
Your results are permanent, but the natural aging process continues. You can expect more than one treatment for optimal results. Typically three monthly treatments on average are needed for optimal results. The body’s natural healing process rejuvenates tissue over 12 weeks following last treatment.
