3D Areola/Nipple Restoration

We know breast cancer can be a very emotional topic for our clients. Breast cancer treatment is a hard, long, and invasive process, and breast cancer survivors are true heroes. This is ideal for breast cancer survivors who have undergone a mastectomy and are looking to restore the beauty of natural looking breasts. This procedure is the final step of breast reconstruction.

 Also called Areola Paramedical Micropigmentation, this semi-permanent tattooing technique expertly applies pigment into the surface layers of the skin, with the intention to return the circular stretch of natural color around the nipple, with the illusion of natural texture.

This paramedical tattooing technique is also wonderful for individuals who have scarring from breast implants, or anyone wanting to enhance their areolas in shape or colour. 3D Areola Tattoos are also great for clients who have had surgeries such as breast reduction, breast augmentation, gender reassignment or gynecomastia surgery.

For this type of tattoo, you probably will NOT need more than one session as 3D tattoos are permanent, just like any other tattoo, and they usually don’t fade away but can be touched up every 3-5 years to keep the color looking rich.

What to Expect

Everyone’s treatment plan varies, however typically you can expect more than one session to obtain optimal results. Should you require a perfecting touch up session, this will be done within 6-8 weeks after the initial session.

With expected cellular turnover, and as the body breaks down the pigments, the areola tattoo will gradually fade.  The rate of fading will depend on several things such as age, skin type, health, sun exposure, diet, skincare routine, body chemistry, and lifestyle habits.

RESULTS

Although results may vary from person to person, after your perfecting sessions are complete, results can last 2-5 years. With recommended annual touch ups, your natural results will keep looking fresh and even.
